New Delhi. South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy S23. Tipster IceUniverse has claimed that the company will offer a 200-megapixel camera sensor in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. This phone will compete with Motorola’s flagship phone Motorola Frontier and Xiaomi 12T Pro.
IceUniverse said in a tweet that Moto’s flagship phone has a 200MP (HP1) sensor and is looking at a 50MP 4-in-1 photo. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also have a 200MP camera, but no information about its sensor has been revealed.
You will get camera sensor with Motorola Frontier
The company is said to only be able to offer the Motorola Frontier camera sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The 200MP camera sensor installed in Motorola Frontier has been prepared by Samsung itself. The name of this sensor is 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1. According to reports, Xiaomi may also offer a 200MP camera on its new Xiaomi 12T Pro phone.
Motorola will launch new device
Aside from Samsung, Motorola has officially confirmed the launch of its next premium smartphone. The device is yet to be named, but rumors suggest that it is the long-rumored Motorola Frontier. One of its highlights will be the 200MP camera. Apart from Motorola, Xiaomi is also working on a 200MP phone.

Pixel binning technique
At the same time, Samsung revealed two new camera sensors for the smartphone last year, one of which is a 50-megapixel GN5 sensor and the other is a 200-megapixel sensor. The 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor uses advanced pixel binning technology to improve light in difficult conditions. Samsung says that the sensor can click images with a resolution of 12.5 megapixels in low light. The 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 sensor gets all Directional Dual Pixel Pro autofocus technology.
Autofocus technology in all directions
The sensor can also record 8K video at 30fps without cropping or reducing image resolution. ISOCELL GN5 is the first 1.0μm image sensor to integrate Dual Pixel Pro. This is an all-direction autofocus technology, which can greatly improve autofocus. According to the leaked report, the company may offer the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that will launch in November on the Galaxy S23 series.
